Dr. Diana Chavez Ketterman

Dr. Diana Chavez Ketterman received a doctorate degree in educational psychology from the University of California at Riverside. Has over 35 years experience as a certified school and licensed educational psychologist and as an at-risk college counselor. She shares her experiences as an international public speaker, certified trained mediator, trained crisis intervention specialist, and is the CEO of the Character Champions Foundation.

Cindy Yan Fu

Treasurer:
Cindy Yan Fu has two master's degrees in education in cognitive and school psychology. For over 25 years, has been a school and licensed educational psychologist. She serves as the Character Champions Foundation’s liaison between China and the USA. Cindy is bilingual in English and Mandarian. She co-leads the factor analysis research project, the validation of the Ketterman Temperament Preference Inventory for Adults and for Students, with Psychology Professor Xie at the University of Central Arkansas

Tara C. Jones-Holguin

Secretary:
Tara C. Jones-Holguin has a master's degree in special education consulting in assisting students, parents, teachers, and administrators in the field of the evidenced-based practices in autism and positive behavior interventions with at-risk youth. She works closely with families and agencies in supporting successful transition from public school to post secondary education and training programs. With over eight years experience in the field of education, she serves as secretary for the Character Champions Foundation.

Marianne Cordova-Breen

Marianne Cordova-Breen Marianne Cordova-Breen has been the President and Managing director of AMS Group, LLC, a self storage and record storage company for 20 years. She holds a Masters in Business Administration and a General Contractor's license. Through Corsynergy Consulting, Marianne provides construction and self storage management guidance, business and strategic planning services, and presentations on self empowerment, motivation and financial freedom. She has sat on the Boards of time-share and condo associations as well as her church

Kelly Okamoto

Kelly Okamoto has been involved with Special Education students since 1987 in Instructional/Support services for Special Disabilities. She also served the Visually Impaired, and from 1997, students with Autism in Walnut Valley Unified School District. Kelly received a “Fitness Specialist” certificate at Rio Hondo College, which lead to a position in the Fitness Center there. She is a co-trainer for “Crisis Prevention Intervention” and a board member for “Character Champion” Non-Profit Foundation

Don Lowry, founded True Colors in 1978 and served as its Chief Executive Officer until 2004. Mr. Lowry is the Creator and Founder of the personality and temperament training and educational concept known as "True Colors" and the author of Keys to Personal Success. Carolyn Kalil

Carolyn Kalil, MA, JCTC, is the author of five books and CEO of DreamMaker Publishing Inc. She is a retired counselor and professor with over 30 years of experience at UCLA and El Camino College in Southern California. She was one of the first certified trainers for the True Colors Personality System and the author of the best selling book, Follow Your True Colors To The Work You Love. Her updated version of the book is Follow Your Inner Heroes To The Work You Love. She is a past president of NECA and currently certifying professionals in her Inner Heroes program.

Dwight Xu

President of WEL Education Group

 Mr. Xu represents the Character Champions Foundation as a provider of educational and mentorship services to students of two countries, with particular expertise in exchange programs.  As an advisory board member, he has a Mast.er's Degree in Economics from Xi"an Jiaotong University and has formerly served as a foreign investment advisor for Global American Attorney Group.  

Linda Zhu

Founder and CEO of WEL Education Group

  Ms. Zhu is partnering with the Character Champions Foundation to provide educational and mentorship services and opportunities to students both in China and in the U.S. who are interested in studying overseas or becoming mentored as well as college entrance counseling and after-school tutoring.  As an advisory board member, she provides educational and legal expertise with a law degree from Suzhou University School of Law.  She is also the CEO of All Win Real Estate Investment.  

Dr. Dong Xie

Dr. Dong Xie is an Associate Professor of Psychology at "University of Central Arkansas" . He received his Master's Degree in Abnormal Psychology in china at "Peking University," and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Ohio State University. Currently, Dr. Xie conducts a research program which focuses on cross-cultural studies in the areas of cultural-specific correlates of emotional distress, attachment styles and dilectical thinking.

Tynisha McGee

Tynisha McGee is an event coordinator for TAD & Associates, LLC.  She does marketing, event and volunteer management, fund development and a number of countless activities for both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Tynisha is also an Academic Associate at Wayne County Community College District in Detroit, MI.  Tynisha received her Masters of Business and Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from Lawrence Technological University and Bachelor of Science in History from Texas College.  Additionally, Tynisha volunteers and participate in a number of boards including The Children's Center of Wayne County, the Greater Woodward Community Development Corporation, the Association of Nonprofit Professionals Greater Detroit Chapter and Alpha Kappa Alpha Foundation of Detroit.  

 

Chrys Verner

Chrys Verner is a retired teacher (K-8), elementary school principal, district-level project coordinator, and an adjunct university instructor from Cal-Poly, Pomona. Her background includes being one of the first National Board Certified Teachers in the country. In retirement, she enjoys spending time with volunteer work primarily with the City of Hope (Duarte, CA), St. Jude’s Ranch for Children (Boulder, NV), Crossings (Las Vegas, NV), Doral Academy (Las Vegas, NV), and with great pleasure, Character Champions.
